AceShowbiz - There's no denying that Post Malone is one of the brightest hip-hop musicians these days. In anticipation of his sophomore album "Beerbongs & Bentleys", he has released the third single off the album "Psycho" featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Just like "Rockstar", the single also received similar success.
The track, which was premiered on February 23, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100. It marked his highest debut on the chart. Furthermore, the song debuted atop Billboard's On-Demand Streaming Songs chart. With the achievement, the rapper became the second artist to debut two songs atop the chart, following Drake.
The single also received positive reviews from music critics, with Patrick Hosken of MTV News opining that the song "finds a late-night vibe that, away from the madness of crunching guitars, unfolds like a chill celebration of luxury." The song also received a gold certification from Music Canada.
"Beerbongs & Bentleys" itself was expected to be released in December last year. However, he later took to his Twitter account to share that the release date was pushed back. "I know a lot of you guys were expecting a project today, it won't be dropping for a little while," he said, apologizing to his fans.
Malone then promised that he would make sure "this album is perfect for you. I'm gonna keep working my a** off and make the best f***ing album ever." Although there isn't any update on when the highly-anticipated album will be released, many fans expect that the album will be due out sometime this year.
His album aside, Malone is currently gearing up for a joint North American tour with 21 Savage and SOB x RBE. They are scheduled to kick off the tour on April 21 in Portland and wrap it up on June 24 in San Francisco. Ticket went on sale to general public on February 23, and fans who buy the ticket will also get a physical copy of "Beerbongs & Bentleys" when it's released.
