Meghan King Edmonds gives her best Beyonce Knowles impression in her new Instagram post. Taking to the photo-sharing site on March 9, the pregnant reality TV star recreated the songstress' iconic pregnancy shoot.
Just like Beyonce, Meghan was seen kneeling in front of a flower backdrop while cradling her bare bump in the photos. She sported a pink bra, blue panties and a green-tinged transparent veil. "If I can't be Queen Bey I'll settle for King Edmonds," she captioned the pics, adding the hashtags #twinscomingsoon, #imitationisflattery and #thisisNotMyMaternityShoot.
She also gave a shoutout to people who helped her recreate Beyonce's iconic picture. Among them were newborn photographer Heather Mohr, A Wildflower Shop INC and MW Makeup Designs.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum says that it took two hours to set up the shoot. "Honestly, I thought it was brilliantly extra when she did it, and then when I got pregnant with twins, I was like, 'OMG. This is perfect. I have to recreate this,' " she notes. "I can't decide if it's so Versace, if it's '90s glam, or if it's the latest and greatest artist."
While she got dolled up for the shoot, Meghan admits she's "really starting to slow down" as her due date approaches. "Twins are rough! After I did that shoot, it kicked my butt and I was only shooting for, like, five minutes," she recalls. "It's crazy how normal stuff all of a sudden becomes stressful for the pregnancy."
Meghan announced on her blog in late November that she and husband Jim Edmonds are expecting for a second time after undergoing IVF. Two months later, she revealed that she is pregnant with twin boys. "Surprise, surprise! We're having TWINS! Oh boy oh boy!" she wrote on Instagram along with a family picture.
