AceShowbiz - There's more than a year until "Frozen 2" is released, but many have been talking about the sequel to "Frozen (2013)" on social media. They mostly respond to rumors that the movie will include a story about Elsa's love life. Disney fans have been urging the studio to make Elsa its first LGBT princess, prompting them to launch the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend campaign.
When recently asked about the possibility of Elsa being a gay, Jennifer Lee, the film co-director, responded, "I love everything people are saying (and) people are thinking about with our film-that it's creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people." She added, "It means the world to us that we're part of these conversations."
Jennifer continued, "Where we're going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we're really conscientious about these things. For me... Elsa's every day telling me where she needs to go, and she'll continue to tell us. I always write from character-out, and where Elsa is and what Elsa's doing in her life, she's telling me every day. We'll see where we go."
As Jennifer leaves the possibility open without giving a direct answer, people have been debating about whether it's necessary or not to feature Elsa's girlfriend. A fan, who prefers Elsa to be single, says, "Thanks internet... I would prefer her to be single, why do we need this to be a thing as she already had a staple to her character... #Frozen." Another Twitter user says, "I'm torn, as much as it would be nice to have representation of this caliber on screen, I also feel like not every character needs to hook up. That is important to show as well." Another confused fan comments, "I just feel, if it didn't happen in the first movie, why now? Elsa has never shown any interest in getting into a relationship with anyone before, that was always Anna's thing."

Given that this movie is for children, there is a concerned user who says, "does it never end? can't we just allow children to be children and not propagandize them?"

Someone responds to the concerned fan, "Elsa might get a female love interest and all these people going 'omg no think about the children don't confuse them and make them think it's normal'. It IS normal and why is it ok to make the kids who don't happen to be straight feel like they're wrong."
