Celebrity

An insider reveals that the 36-year-old bride-to-be has had her first 'top-secret' fitting at Kensington Palace with only five people knowing about the identity of the selected designer.

AceShowbiz - It's four months away from her royal wedding to Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle reportedly has picked a wedding dress designer. A palace insider revealed that the 36-year-old former actress had selected the designer after getting a help from her close friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney.

The insider also claimed that Meghan already had her first fitting at Kensington Palace. "This was Meghan's first fitting with the designer and a chance for her and Jessica to look through a number of different designs," said the source. The fitting was reportedly a top-secret with only five people knowing about the identity of the selected designer.

"During the appointment, Meghan was able to narrow down what she liked and disliked," the source explained. The source added that some of the "Suits" alum's "favorite design elements includes embroidery and sleeves."

Royal reporter Omid Mio Scobie said, "I'm told that they went through a number of options with the designer and Meghan was 'incredibly excited' to see things start coming together."

He went on revealing, "Right now only a small, select group of people know the designer's name, so don't expect to find out any time soon. Even Harry made himself scarce during the first fitting!"

The 33-year-old British royal allegedly gives "the girls plenty of private time to kind of have their meetings with the designers and, of course, choose other wedding elements." Omid revealed on "Good Morning America", "Harry's kind of made it clear that he wants to make this about Meghan."

Omid noted that Jessica, whom he said had "a rich history when it comes to wedding planning and bridal styling," has been giving a big help for Meghan. "[Jessica] is actually helping with a number of elements for the big day and I think Meghan is really relying heavily on her expertise and a lot of the decision she has to make, and there are many," he added.

While we don't know what kind of wedding dress that Meghan will be wearing at the highly-anticipated nuptials, Meghan previously said that she would like it to be "classic and simple." Meghan opened up, "I personally prefer dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic."

Meghan and Harry are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
