Daniel Radcliffe Is a Drug Mule Facing Tough Choices in 'Beast of Burden' Trailer

While making one last delivery of cocaine, Sean Haggerty's (Radcliffe) wife is kidnapped and he has to choose between his allegiance to the cartel and his deal with the DEA.
Daniel Radcliffe is a drug mule in the first trailer for action thriller "Beast of Burden". The British star is far from his innocent persona back when he played Harry Potter in the wizardry film series as he depicts a man with crime records who is facing tough choices on a fateful night.

Radcliffe plays Sean Haggerty, a pilot who strikes a deal with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to get a surgery for his critically ill wife. In return, he has to betray a drug cartel he works for and turn them on to the authorities.

"Sean, you're doing the right thing here. She needs to get better," someone says to Sean on the phone. But what is supposed to be his one last delivery doesn't run smoothly. Apparently suspicious of him, the drug cartel changes the delivery location at the last minute and holds his wife hostage.

With his wife's life at stake, Sean Haggerty only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman and the DEA that nothing is wrong. An hour to make sure his wife survives. And he must do it all from the cockpit of his Cessna.

Pablo Schreiber stars as the DEA agent, Grace Gummer plays Sean's wife, with Renee Willett, Ashton Tatum and Cesar Perez taking other roles. Directed by Jesper Ganslandt, the movie will premiere in select theaters and be available On Demand/Digital HD on February 23. Judging from the trailer, the upcoming film is poised to offer an intense ride full of twists for moviegoers.
