AceShowbiz - Your first look at Zac Efron as notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" is here! While filming on the movie won't start until tomorrow, the 30-year-old actor shared via Twitter on Wednesday, January 17 a behind-the-scenes photo featuring himself in character, writing, "Meet Ted. #BehindTheScenes."

Snapped in black-and-white, the photo features the "Baywatch" star posing for a mugshot as Ted in an empty studio space, and his resemblance to the infamous serial killer is uncanny. He can be seen wearing a white T-shirt, a pair of wide leg pants and black shoes, while his hair is styled in asymmetrical side part.

"Extremely Wicked", which has Joe Berlinger attached to helm, will chronicle Ted Bundy's various crimes from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. Lily Collins will portray Liz, who went years in denial of Ted's crimes before she ultimately turned him in. The 28-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a picture of herself in character, writing, "Meet Liz..."

John Malkovich will also star in the movie as Judge Edward Cowart, who presided over Ted's highly televised murder trial in 1979 and sentenced him to death. It was only nearing his execution that Ted began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, and that Liz, and the rest of the world, did learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly crimes. Ted was executed in 1989.

"Extremely Wicked" was penned by Michael Werwie, whose script landed on the Black List and earned the writer the Nicholls screenwriting award. Serving as producers are Michael Costigan, Nicolas Chartier, Ara Keshishian, Michael Simkin and Jason Barrett, with Voltage Pictures handling the distribution.

No release date has been set just yet. Joe Berlinger has confirmed filming on the movie will commence this Thursday. The helmer posted a photo of him on the social media and announced, "#Excited to be #doingtime on my new @zacefron and @lilyjcollins #movie ... we start #shooting #tomorrow ... #moviemagic."
