LuAnn de Lesseps was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, where she wed now-ex Tom D'Agostino, around 1.25 A.M. on Sunday, December 24. According to Palm Beach Post, "The Real Housewives of New York City" star was taken to Palm Beach County Jail on felony charges of battery on an officer, resisting arrest with violence and crimes against a person and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly intoxication.

An assistant state's attorney claimed that the 52-year-old reality TV star allegedly slammed a door as well as kicked a police officer. De Lesseps was also said to be making threats against a public servant as she allegedly told people, "I'm going to kill you all."

The star was later released on her own recognizance on the same day. According to Judge Ted Booras, de Lesseps was allowed to return to her home state of New York, though he warned her not to ignore the charges against her. "I don't think it would be that hard to find you," he said.

De Lesseps is due back in court on January 25, 2018.

Following the arrest, de Lesseps offered an apology. "This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding, and being here brought up long-buried emotions," she said in a statement. "I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended with my behavior. I am committed to transformative and hopeful 2018."

"Luann was out with a girlfriend at the Colony Hotel where she had her wedding brunch just a year ago -- it was the first time she had been back to Palm Beach since the wedding," a source revealed to PEOPLE. "Memories from that day came flooding back, she was emotional and her behavior was out of character."

She announced her divorce from D'Agostino only eight months after marriage, seemingly due to D'Agostino's infidelity and flirtatious personality. They held a lavish, three-day wedding in Palm Beach last year over New Year's weekend.
