Rihanna hit the stage at the fourth TDE's Christmas Show and Toy Drive on Thursday afternoon, December 21, performing several of her hit songs such as "Lemon" and "Wild Thoughts". When the concertgoers thought that she would not appear on stage again after her performance, the songstress decided to surprise them by joining Kendrick Lamar performing their collaborative track "Loyalty".

In a fan-captured clip that surfaced online, the audience could be heard cheering very loudly when Rihanna, who was dressed in an all-white ensemble, stepping out to the stage, singing along with Kendrick. "You can tell your n***a he can meet me outside/ You can babysit him when I leave outside," they sang. "I done been down so long lost hope/ I done came down so hard I slowed."

"Loyalty" is one of the tracks off Kendrick's critically-acclaimed album "DAMN.", which made its way out to stores on April 14. The co-producer of the track, Terrace Martin, revealed to The Fader that the song "represents some unconditional, agape love type s**t."

" 'Loyalty' to me is the first base of life," he continued. "Real brotherhood. Real sisterhood. Real human being s**t. Real everybody s**t. With Kendrick, that song represents a lot because he and I are loyal to each other. And we've been loyal to each other throughout every project."

On the other hand, working with Rihanna on the track was like a dream come true for Kendrick, as he revealed that he had always wanted to work with the 29-year-old songstress. "I love everything about her, her artistry, how she represents women to not only be themselves the way she expresses herself through music and how she carries herself," he gushed over her, adding, "I did the record and immediately, her name popped up. Reached out, we locked in a studio, and made it happen."
