Prince Harry Won't Propose to Meghan Markle Until Kate Middleton Welcomes Her 3rd Child, Source Says

The source also reveals that it's possible for the 'Suits' actress and the British prince to live together for as much as a year before Harry makes any permanent, public commitment.

AceShowbiz - It seems like we have to wait a bit longer for a royal engagement between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be officially announced. Speaking to The Daily Beast, a source claims that there are still months away before the couple takes the next step in their relationship.

"There won't be any announcement until at least after Kate [Middleton] has had her baby in April," the source reveals.

The source further adds that it's possible for the "Suits" actress and the British prince to live together for as much as a year before Harry pops the question.

It comes after the 36-year-old actress reportedly would be relocating to London as soon as she wraps up the filming for season seven of the USA Network political drama in Toronto. The divorcee was said to reside in Kensington Palace and be on hand to work on "a detailed media rollout."

Palace insiders and former members of staff weigh in on when news of an engagement might be announced. Darren McGrady, a former chef to Princess Diana and her two sons, believes that the announcement will likely arrive this December. "November is the Queen and Prince Philip's platinum wedding anniversary so they can't trump that... whereas December they can announce the engagement and they'd be free to marry next year; I think that's what's going to happen," Darren says to Hello!.

However, some others think that December proposal sounds unlikely since it may disrupt the carefully planned royal Christmas schedule. Prince Harry's biographer, Penny Junor, meanwhile, seems to doubt the likeliness of an engagement.

"The bottom line is, only the two of them know. But, personally, I am not 100 percent convinced. The longer it doesn't happen, the more doubt I have about it, not least because her biological clock [Meghan is 36] means that if they were going to marry and have children, they would need to get going sooner rather than later," she speaks to The Daily Beast. "It is one hell of an ask for her to give up everything she is and has achieved to marry into the British royal family."

Richard Palmer, a veteran royal correspondent for Britain's Daily Express, anticipates for a 2018 wedding. "My guess is they will get engaged towards the end of this year or early next with a view to a summer wedding, perhaps in July. But that is just a guess," he says.

Echoing Richard's guess, Christopher Anderse, the royal author, says, "I am still being told that an engagement announcement will occur before the end of the year, and that a Summer of 2018 wedding is the most likely timeline. Harry is something of a loose cannon, but, right now, all systems are go."
