The 'Crown' actress is seen for the very first time as astronaut Neil Armstrong's wife on set of upcoming biopic 'First Man'.

AceShowbiz - First-look photos of Claire Foy in costume as Neil Armstrong's wife on set of "First Man" in Atlanta, Georgia have arrived online. In the shots, the actor of "The Crown" was spotted wearing collared white shirt, blue pants and blue slippers, with short, trimmed dark hair. The actress was leaning against a folding chair in front of a vintage green cooler with a lemonade stand in the background. She stood alongside another actress wearing a retro, 60s-style, floral-patterned skirt in the outdoor scene.

The Golden Globe Award winner previously told Daily Mail why she wanted to play Janet, who parted ways with Armstrong in 1994 after nearly four decades of marriage. She said she was "very interested to find out what the space agency wanted the wives' image to be." She also noted that "the wives and children were all taken with them, in a weird way" into space.

Foy stated her opinion when Larry King said he was surprised that a movie about the Armstrongs hadn't been made. She responded, "It's interesting. It's kind of like 'The Crown', for example, about the queen when she was younger. Just enough time has passed that people are not going to be viewing it-not protectively-but... enough time has passed now for people to hear the story and see the story."

"First Man" is based on a 2005 book by author James R. Hansen. It is directed by Damien Chazelle, the man who was responsible for Academy Award-winning "La La Land". The film takes a look at the life of Armstrong and his legendary space mission that led him to be the first ever human to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969.

The film features Ryan Gosling as the film's lead, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber and Kyle Chandler. Corey Stoll plays Armstrong's well-known colleague and Apollo 11 mate, Buzz Aldrin, while Lukas Haas plays Michael Collins.

"First Man" will hit U.S. theaters on October 12, 2018.
