AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were finally reunited! The childhood best friends and Disney co-stars met at the InStyle Awards on Monday night, October 23. The two stars hugged as they posed on the red carpet for their first photo together in two years.
Demi wore a purple Spring 2018 alice + olivia dress with a thigh-high slit. She sported purple eyeshadow and styled her long hair in loose waves. Selena opted for a simple black dress that bared her cleavage. She sported smokey eyes and arranged her hair in a neat updo.
Demi and Selena were besties during their days as Disney stars. They appeared on "Barney & Friends" as kids and starred in Disney Channel's movie "Princess Protection Program" in 2009. As their careers took them on different paths, the two drifted apart over the years.
Demi even unfollowed Selena on Twitter in 2014. But the "Same Old Love" songstress and the "Sorry Not Sorry" hitmaker recently reconnected following the release of Demi's documentary "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated".
"This was beautiful," Selena commented on Demi's documentary on Instagram. "I'm so happy for you. You always continue to be bold and real. I wish more people were like you." She added underneath the first comment, "Love you."
Demi responded, "@selenagomez thank you so much, this means the world to me and more. Love you too," adding prayer-hands and heart emojis.
It seems that Selena has been patching things up with some people from her past. In addition to her reunion with Demi, the "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" star recently reunited with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The two hung out together at her home in Studio City, California on Sunday, October 22. They were not alone though, as their mutual friends reportedly joined them at the house until at least midnight. Selena's current boyfriend The Weeknd wasn't there because he's on tour, but he was reportedly fully aware of the two's reunion.
