AceShowbiz - To celebrate the release of her new album "Now", %cShania Twain% has debuted a music video for a track called "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed" off the set. The sexy visuals finds the 52-year-old singer dancing around a room with a group of dancers in a revealing sheer black dress.
The video cuts back and forth between Shania and the dancers, who perform sensuous choreography around her. At one point, the singer is dancing solo while rocking a cleavage-baring, skintight jumpsuit. The clip seems to perfectly match the song's lyrical content, which is about freedom and rebirth.
Shania celebrates freedom as she sings, "Life is short, nights are long/ Nothing's sure in this world till we're gone/ Fear disappears each time I close my eyes/ I kiss you once, I kiss you twice/ It's in the air we're breathing/ Oh can you taste the freedom."
Shania recently revealed that "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed" was inspired by "the fighter in her." She further said that the song reflects her rebirth. "I was thinking of a boxer taking a swing, or a baby first coming out with his eyes and fist closed," she shared. "They can't even seen yet and they're swinging with their eyes closed."
The track is the second single off "Now", following "Life's About to Get Good". The album marks Shania's first effort in fifteen years, following chart-topping "Up!" that was released in 2002. "It's been a lot of hard work, but the most fun hard work I've ever done. I've had to learn a lot about independence on this album," she previously said of "Now".
She further explained, "I wrote all the songs, so there's a continuity there, I think, emotionally. There might be more variety on this album than on any [of my] other albums. There will be some surprises on there. I think there are a couple of things on there that are more classic me from the past. It's relatable."
Shania is scheduled to bring her new music on the road next year. She will be criss-crossing North America for the extensive trek, which will kick off in Tacoma on May 3 and conclude in Las Vegas on August 4.
