'Titans' Adds Lindsey Gort as Dick Grayson's Partner Amy Rohrbach

AceShowbiz - The cast of "Titans" continues to grow with a newly-added actress. According to TVLine, Lindsey Gort ("The Carrie Diaries") has been tapped to play a recurring role of Police Detective Amy Rohrbach, the new partner of Brenton Thwaites' Dick Grayson.

In the comics, Amy is an honest cop in Bludhaven, the town Grayson moves to after striking out on his own. She discovers that Grayson is actually the Nightwing, but manages to keep his secret. They will join forces to fight crime.

Lindsey is known for her role on "Baby Daddy". She also starred on "Sex & the City" prequel "The Carrie Diaries" as young Samantha. In addition, the actress guest-starred on "Lucifer" as stripper Candy Morningstar.

Lindsey joins the previously announced cast members, including Anna Diop ("24: Legacy"), Teagan Croft ("The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One"), Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights") and Alan Ritchson ("Smallville"). Diop plays Starfire with Croft portraying Raven. Kelly and Ritchson, meanwhile, are tapped to play superhero twosome Hawk and Dove respectively.

Rumor has it, Beast Boy is going to be featured on the upcoming Warner Bros. series. The character breakdown for the role reads, "[JAX] Male, Mid-late teens, Open Ethnicity, Asian preferred." The character is further described as a "funny and charming" amateur thief, "who hides his insecurities and past pain. Not the toughest kid on the streets, he's learned to survive in the world with his wit and quick-thinking."

"Titans" was initially set to debut on TNT before being pulled by the network. A few months ago, Warner Bros. announced that the series would debut on Warner Bros.' new digital streaming service, which also hosts the upcoming season 3 of "Young Justice".

"Titans" is written by Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman, Arrowverse mastermind Greg Berlanti and DC Films and comic icon Geoff Johns. It is said that the live-action adaptation of DC Entertainment's "Titans" has begun its filming. Its exact release date hasn't been announced, but "Titans" is set to arrive in 2018.
