The 'Pretty Little Liars' alum says she has lost 15 pounds since she started rehearsing for 'Dancing with the Stars' after her hormonal disorder caused her to gain 70 pounds in two years.

AceShowbiz - Sasha Pieterse opened up about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) on "Dancing with the Stars" Tuesday, September 26. She got emotional as she revealed that the condition caused her to gain "70ish pounds" in two years.

Now in a new interview with Us Weekly, the actress credits the dancing competition series for helping her lose weight. The "Pretty Little Liars" alum says she has already lost 15 pounds since she started rehearsing for the show.

"To be honest here's the thing, I was exercising like crazy and was eating the best that I could before. This just heightens it," she confesses. "It's a combination. It's a combination of me finding out what I have, and then 'Dancing with the Stars' helps me tremendously."

Sasha also praises her dancing partner, Gleb Savchenko, "Having Gleb as a partner. He's amazing." She adds, "But just the process in general - how hard we're working and how healthy I feel. I really feel like myself again."

As for opening up about her condition on national television, she tells E! News, "Honestly, it's a big relief. I'm glad that people know and it really is about awareness and letting that sit for people that may have it and they don't know."

She also tells Us Weekly, "I've never really done that before. I've never really been on a show like this. I've never that experience. Having Gleb and everyone at 'Dancing with the Stars' be so supportive of me and having that outlet means a lot. The fact that I can open up and share this with people and hopefully bring awareness to PCOS is really all I can ask for. This has been an amazing experience."

Telling women to be aware of the disorder, Sasha share that some common symptoms of PCOS are "irregular periods, weight gain and difficulty losing weight." She adds, "There are all these things that seem somewhat normal sometimes depending on your lifestyle, but I feel like you have to just go and get it checked. If you have a hormone imbalance, it can definitely be PCOS and that can lead to ovarian cancer and breast cancer and thyroid issues and many things later that could've been avoided."

Sasha survived the first elimination on "DWTS" season 25. In the second week, she and Gleb danced a Viennese Waltz which got 23 out of 30 points from the judges.
