Gisele Bundchen Cries as She Sings John Lennon's 'Imagine' at Rock in Rio


The Brazilian supermodel is overwhelmed with emotions when she teams up with Ivete Sangalo to deliver the classic song.
Gisele Bundchen got emotional during a performance at Rock in Rio in her home country of Brazil. Wearing a white sparkly jumpsuit, the 37-year-old supermodel burst into tears as she joined Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo on the stage to deliver John Lennon's classic song "Imagine".



"If we are all capable of imagining, we are all capable of creating, so imagine the world you want to live in. Imagine we are already living in it. Imagine," Bundchen said to the crowd in Portuguese. She was applauded by her husband Tom Brady. "So proud of you! Te amo," he wrote on Instagram.



The event was aimed at raising environmental awareness. "Together we are stronger. Together we can change our story. Together we can change the world. Open your heart. Feel the love expanding within you, because it is only through LOVE that we will transform our world," Bundchen added a message in her own Instagram.

Besides having Gisele Bundchen, the festival was supposed to feature Lady GaGa but the Mother Monster called off her performance due to illness. She was hospitalized for severe physical pain. She supposed to perform at Barra Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night, September 15.

"Brazil, I'm devastated that I'm not well enough 2 come to Rock In Rio. I would do anything 4 u but I have to take care of my body right now. I ask for your grace and understanding, and promise that I will come back and perform for you soon," she wrote on her social media.

She went on, "I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I'm in severe pain. I'm in good hands w/ the very best doctors." She additionally posted an Instagram picture of an IV drip in her arm. "I am so sorry, and I love you so much," she captioned.
