Selena Gomez is bracing herself for a potential leak of her private photos and messages after her Instagram account was hacked last week. The "Fetish" hitmaker is among celebrities who's warned by Instagram that their accounts have been targeted.

Instagram previously released a statement via email about its recent breach, "One or more individuals obtained unlawful access to a number of high-profile Instagram users' contact information - specifically email address and phone numbers."

A source tells The Sun, "Many of the biggest celebrities in the world will be very concerned about this. Many use Instagram for chatting privately and swapping pics with friends. A lot will be hastily deleting things to stop anything embarrassing getting out in the hope that it's not too late."

Last week, Selena's Instagram account was hacked and full-frontal naked pictures of her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, which were taken from his trip to Bora Bora were posted on her page.

The NSFW photos were taken from Justin's vacation to Bora Bora with beauty blogger Jayde Pierce back in 2015, during which he flashed his penis. The hacker wrote in the caption, "LOOK AT THIS N***A LIL SHRIMPY," and included their Instagram handles.

Following the hack, Selena's Instagram account was quickly deactivated. Kirsten Stubbs, the Digital Marketing Director at Interscope Records, tweeted to inform fans about the deactivation, "We deactivated with Instagram to ensure it's secure before relaunching! Hang tight."
