'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Finale Recap: How That Epic Reunions and Shocking Killing Unfold
TV

Jon Snow makes his case in front of Cersei for the importance of them fighting the Army of the Dead together, and Littlefinger continues to manipulate Sansa against Arya.

AceShowbiz - After the battle against the White Walkers in last week's episode, "Game of Thrones" wrapped up the seventh season with a less dramatic episode, except for one major death, on Sunday night, August 27. As teased in the preview, "The Dragon and the Wolf" mainly revolved around the meeting between Cersei, Daenerys and Jon Snow in King's Landing.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Jon, Davos, Tyrion, Theon, Varys and many more arrived by boat, but Dany wasn't seen with them. Cersei wondered why Dany wasn't coming with them. Before heading to the Dragonpit, Cersei told The Mountain to kill Dany first, then Tyrion and Jon Snow last if anything happened. Jamie was appalled at Cersei's plan.

On the way to the Dragonpit, some characters reunited. Brienne apologized to The Hound for trying to kill him the last time they met. Brienne said she was only trying to protect Arya and The Hound said he was trying to do the same.

At the Dragonpit, The Mountain, Jaime and Euron stood by Cersei's side. It was Jon's first time in King's Landing and his first time seeing Cersei since before he left for the Night's Watch. Tyrion also came face-to-face with Cersei for the first time since Joffrey's trial, and The Hound confronted his brother, The Mountain.

There was an awkward silence before Dany arrived on her dragon, Drogon. Euron brought up Yara in the conversation, saying that if Theon didn't submit now then Yara would die. Tyrion didn't let Euron take control of the meeting.

Then Jon spoke up and said everything he knows about the Night King's army. Cersei wasn't convinced, so The Hound brought out the wight. The Mountain sliced the wight in half, but it continued to scream and fight. Jon showed Cersei that the only way to kill the wights is by burning them or using dragonglass. Cersei looked terrified.

Euron was also scared and told Cersei that he's going back to the Iron Islands to protect himself. Cersei said she agreed to accept Dany's offer of a truce under one condition. She wanted Jon to stay in the north and not choose sides between her and Dany. But Jon didn't want to make a promise he couldn't keep, so he said, "I cannot serve two queens. I have pledged myself to Queen Daenerys of House Targaryen."

Everyone was pissed that Jon didn't agree to Cersei's terms because that ruined their mission. Tyrion tried to negotiate with Cersei and met her. Cersei blamed Tyrion for Tommen and Myrcella's deaths. Tyrion dared Cersei to kill him, but she couldn't do it. After that, everyone returned to the Dragonpit and Cersei agreed to help until "the great war" is won.

Dany, Jon and the rest of her allies returned to Dragonstone. Theon and Jon had a heart-to-heart conversation. Theon wished he's just as brave as Jon is. Theon eventually decided to take action to set his sister Yara free. He asked the remaining Iron Islanders to help him. They initially refused and one of the men beat Theon. Theon fought back and killed the man. The rest finally joined Theon to find Yara.

Meanwhile, Cersei told Jamie her true plan. She's not going to help Jon and Dany in the war against the White Walkers. She would wait until they die and take over their land. Jaime disapproved of Cersei's plan. Cersei told him that if he helps them in the great war, he'll be committing treason. Jaime didn't believe she would kill him and walked away.

At Winterfell, Sansa seemed to believe Littlefinger that Arya returned to Winterfell to kill Sansa so she could become Lady of Winterfell. Sansa later brought Arya to the Great Hall, with Bran sitting by Sansa's side. That was where things took a dramatic turn, with Sansa making Littlefiner stand accused of murder and treason. Littlefinger denied everything, but Bran brought up what Littlefinger said to Ned back in season 1. Littlefinger begged Sansa to spare his life, claiming, "I loved you more than anyone." Sansa didn't change her mind and Arya killed him by slicing his throat.

Sam arrived at Winterfell. Bran revealed to Sam that Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark and he thought that Jon should know this. Sam remembered something that Bran didn't know. Jon is not a bastard. Bran flashed back to Rhaegar and Lyanna's wedding and found out Jon's birth name, Aegon Targaryen.

Elsewhere, Jon and Dany finally succumbed to their lust for each other. They had sex on the boat and Tyrion looked a bit disappointed.

The episode ended with the beginning of the White Walker invasion. The Night King rode Viserion, which now breathes ice, and destroyed the Wall. The men at Eastwatch ran for their lives. The Night King and his army began to walk into Westeros.
