The 'You're Still the One' hitmaker dished on the alleged diss track, claiming that it was inspired by the actor's naked pics that made headlines back in 1997.

AceShowbiz - For the first time in two decades, Shania Twain finally addressed her shout-out to Brad Pitt on her 1997 hit song "That Don't Impress Me Much". During a recent interview with Billboard, the songstress shared that she was inspired by the actor's naked photos, which made a number of headlines at that time.
"You want to know the truth about this story? I've never told this before. I'm going to say it now," she said. "I remember I had a girl friend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Gwyneth Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him [in Playgirl magazine, which Pitt later successfully sued for publishing the paparazzi photos]."
"And this was like all the rage. I just thought 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.' I'm like, well that don't impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss," Twain explained. "We see people naked every day. That's really what I thought. I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy."
The racy pictures Twain was referring to appeared in Playgirl magazine in 1997. Brad Pitt successfully sued the publisher for posting the paparazzi photos, which were taken during his vacation with his then-girlfriend Paltrow.
Twain is currently gearing up for the release of her comeback album "Now". The upcoming effort will arrive on September 29 and mark the singer's first album in fifteen years following chart-topping "Up!" that was released in 2002.
"It's been a lot of hard work, but the most fun hard work I've ever done. I've had to learn a lot about independence on this album," she previously said of "Now". "I wrote all the songs, so there's a continuity there. I think, emotionally. There might be more variety on this album than on any [of my] other albums. There will be some surprises on there. I think there are a couple of things on there that are more classic me from the past. It's relatable."
