AceShowbiz - Following the release of a teaser trailer last week, Netflix previews "The Punisher" with a new photo. The picture gives first look at Jon Bernthal in full costume as Frank Castle a.k.a. the title character.

The upcoming series will focus on military veteran Frank Castle who, after the murder of his family, is both haunted and hunted. He is described as a vigilante who aims to fight the criminal underworld by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.

While this will be The Punisher's first own series, the character has previously appeared on "Daredevil" season 2 as a vigilante with far deadlier methods.

Set to be released in November 2017, it also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Paul Schulze as Agent Rawlins, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Amber Rose Revah as Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani, Ben Barnes as Jigsaw, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle and Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein. Deborah Ann Woll will reprise her "Daredevil" role as Karen Page.

When asked what to expect from the upcoming solo Punisher series, Bernthal once said, "I think with Frank and with the world that he's very much involved in, he's a soldier, so I think there will be very much a military component of the show. It will be somewhat centered on that."

"I think when you're talking about characters like these, the way they fight, what's motivating the fight is very important," he added. "Beating someone up to drag them into jail is different than someone who is exercising his rage on people. The Frank Castle you find in this story is not The Punisher. He's reeling from the loss of his family. He's driven by rage and is on a singular mission to find these people who took his family from him, and do it as brutally as possible."
