Netflix drops a new teaser for its upcoming Marvel series "The Punisher". The short clip sees Jon Bernthal returning with vengeance as Frank Castle. He is hammering away at concrete floor while recounting his past.

"All the things that I've done, memories, they never hurt me," so the tortured anti-hero says in an omnious voice over. "The past is more than memories, it's the devil you sold your soul to. He's coming. He's coming to collect..."

The new superhero show is scheduled to be released in November 2017. It is supported by Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Amber Rose Revah. It will also see "True Blood" actress Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Matt Murdock's former assistant.

Jon Bernthal was introduced as The Punisher in the second season of "Daredevil" which is led by Charlie Cox. He quickly became a fan favorite which led to the development of a spin-off. Before embarking on his own adventure, he will join Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Iron Fist on "Marvel's The Defenders".

When asked what to expect from the upcoming solo Punisher series, Bernthal previously said, "I think with Frank and with the world that he's very much involved in, he's a soldier, so I think there will be very much a military component of the show. It will be somewhat centered on that."

"I think when you're talking about characters like these, the way they fight, what's motivating the fight is very important," he added. "Beating someone up to drag them into jail is different than someone who is exercising his rage on people. The Frank Castle you find in this story is not The Punisher. He's reeling from the loss of his family. He's driven by rage and is on a singular mission to find these people who took his family from him, and do it as brutally as possible."
