Fans of the popular series are afraid that it will be hard for them to focus on the story since the 'Moonlight' crooner's character will form a relationship with a character who's a victim of assault.

AceShowbiz - Onew of SHINee is facing some consequences following his sexual harassment scandal. Fans of "Age of Youth 2" want the "Descendants of the Sun" actor to step down from the series for the sake of the its success.

The producers state that they haven't decided whether Onew would continue taking on the role of Kwon Ho Chang, an engineering student who's never been in a relationship. "We have not discussed anything related to Onew and him stepping down from the drama," the producers said in a statement.

Fans of "Age of Youth 2" are afraid that Onew will "disturb" the series, which first season was a huge success. "He should know to leave the drama at least for the sake of the viewers. Viewers won't be able to focus on his character knowing what he's like in real life," a fan comments on an article on Naver. Another adds, "If you're reflecting, you realize that you should definitely leave the drama, right?"

Fans' concern is understandable since Onew's character will form a relationship with a character named Jung Ye Eun (Han Seung Yeon), who's still struggling to cope with a horrifying experience of being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. Since Ho Chang is supposed to be the one who helps Ye Eun get better, people are worried that they won't be able to see his sincerity due to Onew's scandal.

Onew was accused of inappropriately touching a woman while he was clubbing in Gangnam, Seoul over the weekend. He was later investigated by the police and claimed that he was too drunk to remember anything that happened that night. The woman eventually dropped the charges against him as "the misunderstanding has been cleared up."
