According to TMZ, the former Disney star came this close to running a red light while driving his Rolls-Royce in Burbank, California. The star was later stopped by authorities around 7 A.M. for a traffic violation and then subsequently arrested for DUI at Olive Ave and Pass Ave.

"Mr. Smith was stopped in the City of Burbank by the Burbank Police Department for a traffic violation. This stop led to DUI investigation, which included several field sobriety tests," Sergeant Green of the Burbank Police Department said. "At the conclusion of the investigation, police officers determined that Mr. Smith was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Smith was placed under arrest and booked into the Burbank City Jail for DUI."

According to the Burbank Police Department's arrest log obtained by E! News, the "Dirty Grandpa" actor was booked at 7.40 A.M. Sergeant Green further revealed that Smith remained in custody for several hours before being released on a citation, adding that the actor's bail was set at $15,000.

The 28-year-old actor debuted in "She's All That". He later took a recurring role on "Phil of the Future", before landing a role on Demi Lovato's "Sonny with a Chance".
