A rep for the former 'Today' host, who was previously reported to land a new hosting gig on 'Top 30', has denied the claims, saying that 'there is absolutely no truth' to the report.

AceShowbiz - Billy Bush is still unemployed, after all. The anchor, who was ousted from NBC's "Today", will not be returning to the small screen despite report of his new hosting gig on Fox's magazine show "Top 30".

"There is absolutely no truth to this whatsoever," a spokesperson for Fox Television Stations revealed to EW on Thursday, July 13. Both Bush's publicist Jill Fritzo and Fox rep Claudia Russo also denied the claims, with Fritzo simply saying, "The story is not true." Russo added, "It's [the Mail report] not true."

According to TMZ, Fox hasn't picked the host for the show yet, but it's not Billy "positively." The publication stated that there was indeed "a meeting between Billy and his people and the Fox folks," though nothing came of the meeting.

Previously, Daily Mail reported that Billy, the nephew of former President George H. W. Bush, would host "Top 30", which is set to air in Fall. The news outlet further updated the report, saying that Billy was "in talks for other possible projects" at the network.

The 45-year-old anchor was removed from "Today" in October after his lewd chat with Donald Trump was exposed. He apologized for the scandal, "Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened 11 years ago - I was younger, less mature and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry."
