The teaser continues offering gloomy scenes, including the one in which someone heartlessly drags an apparent dead body.

AceShowbiz - Netflix utilizes the Fourth of July to release a new America-themed teaser for its upcoming drama "Ozark". The dark drama stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial planner who lives as an ordinary American man with his family to hide his dangerous secret job.

Set to an uncommonly somber choral version of "America the Beautiful", the teaser opens with an idyllic scene featuring Marty and his family despite their sudden relocation from the suburbs of Chicago to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks. Marty's teenage kids Charlotte and Jonah can be seen happily playing and jumping on a trampoline with their mom, Wendy, spraying water on them.

Things later take a dark turn as Wendy is seen cleaning up an apparent violent and bloody crime scene. Marty is lying down on the ground, seemingly hiding from potential danger. The teaser continues offering gloomy scenes, including the one in which someone heartlessly drags an apparent dead body.

The official synopsis of the series reads, "The Byrdes, husband and wife Marty (Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney), their teenage kids Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner)--are for all intents and purposes an ordinary family. Ordinary save for Marty's job: The top money launderer for the second largest drug cartel in Mexico."

"Ozark" is created by Bill Dubuque ("The Judge"), who executive produces alongside showrunner Chris Mundy ("Hell on Wheels", "Criminal Minds") and Bateman. Aggregate produces in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.

"Ozark" premieres on July 21 on Netflix.
