Jake Otto and Alicia Clark discuss who will take over the ranch if Jake's father Jeremiah dies as people surely 'are going to look to somebody.'

AceShowbiz - "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 will return for its sixth episode this Sunday. A new sneak peek at the upcoming episode, making its way out online via CBR, gives an insight into how the characters on the zombie apocalypse drama, at least Alicia Clark, wonder about the fate of Broke Jaw Ranch in the near future.
The sneak peek sees Jake Otto helping Alicia with her marksmanship skills. The son of Jeremiah, the leader of the Broke Jaw Ranch community, and Alicia are in a target practice which surely will be useful in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. However, the highlight of the sneak peek is not them practicing aim.
The two are discussing who will take over the ranch if Jeremiah dies. "What happens if your dad goes, who will take over the ranch?" asks Alicia in the middle of the practice. Jake looks reluctant to talk about it, before eventually responding, "[The ranch] will be passed to me when he dies."
However, Jake believes that it won't automatically make him the leader as people will look to anybody they want to look to. "It could be anybody. It could be you," he tells Alicia, who later responds, "Your father wants it to be you." She adds, "People are going to look to somebody. And if it's not you...?"
The official of the episode reads, "News of incoming danger spread throughout the community as Madison struggles to keep everyone together. Nick grapples with a hard truth."
"Red Dirt" airs on Sunday, July 2nd at 9 P.M. on AMC.
