The British singer and the 'Late Late Show' host belt out some of Ed's hit songs including 'Shape of You', 'Sing' and 'Castle on the Hill', which lyrics are changed to fit the show better.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran joined "The Late Late Show with James Corden" host James Corden on Tuesday, June 6 for the latest edition of the host's popular "Carpool Karaoke" segment. The Brits duo were having fun singing some of the Grammy winner's hits, including "Shape of You" and "Sing", as well as trying to prove a rumor claiming Ed could fit 47 chocolate malt balls in his mouth at once.

Opening their drive around Los Angeles, James and Ed were singing along to "Shape of You". During the song, Ed was getting a little handsy with James as the singer hilariously placed his hands on the host's thigh. Taken aback, James exclaimed, "I told you it's a sexy song! I told you it's a sexy song!"

Ed also shared about his life without phones and Internet. "Yeah, just e-mails," Ed explained, to which James responded, "So, are you telling me that this is something I should do in my life?" The singer-songwriter without any hesitation answered, "Yes. You should definitely do it."

After performing an epic duet of "Sing", the pair conducted a contest to see who could fit the most chocolate malt balls in their mouth. James made it to 26 before he opened the car door and spit all the chocolate in his mouth all over the street. Ed kept going in attempt to break his own record and managed to stuff a whopping 55 candies in his mouth. "I don't know how you've done that," James said, laughing uproariously. "That is insane!"

They duo later belted out an acoustic rendition of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" and One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful". Although Ed admitted that he was feeling nervous before coming to the show, he nailed every song. James later attempted to swap the original lyrics of "Castle on the Hill" to reworked lyrics, which read, "I'm on my way, stuck in some traffic on these bad freeways."

Ed, however, was somehow unimpressed and pointed that there were "a lot of work to be done there" since James rhymed "way" with "ways." The pair later came out with better-rhymed lyrics of the song which read, "I'm on my way stuck in some traffic/ And I'm in downtown L.A. singing 'Carpool Karaoke'/ And I miss the way we sing this song/ Back there when we watched the sunset over the Hollywood sign."
