Kathy Griffin's controversial photo that depicts her holding President Trump's decapitated head may cost her her job. CNN has expressed disapproval of the gruesome photo and said that it's "evaluating" whether she will continue participating in the network's annual New Year's Eve coverage.
"We found what she did disgusting and offensive," a CNN spokesperson says in a statement released following Griffin's apology. "We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down. We are evaluating New Year's Eve and have made no decisions at this point."
Anderson Cooper, who has co-hosted CNN's NYE coverage with Griffin for 10 years, has also denounced the comedian's stunt. He tweeted, "For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate."

Griffin earlier issued an apology via a video posted on Twitter on Tuesday, May 30 after receiving backlashes for the disturbing image. "I sincerely apologize," she said in the video. "I crossed the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn't funny. I get it."
She added, "I've made a lot of mistakes in my career. I will continue. I ask for your forgiveness. [I'm] taking down the image, going to ask the photographer to take down the image. And I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far, I made a mistake, and I was wrong."
