The 'Purple Rain' singer's sister, Tyka Nelson, and his five half-siblings have been declared the rightful heirs to his $250 million estate by a Minnesota judge.

The dispute over Prince's estate has been settled. A Minnesota judge ruled on Friday, May 19 that the late singer's sister, Tyka Nelson, and his five half-siblings, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson, John R. Nelson, Omarr Baker and Alfred Jackson, are the rightful heirs to his estate, which is reportedly worth $250 million.
The judge made the decision after Prince died in April 2016 without a will. Brianna Nelson and Victoria Nelson, who claimed to be Prince's niece and grandniece, were on the initial list of six potential heirs that Carver County Judge Kevin Eide named in July 2016, but their claims have since been rejected.
In a statement to PEOPLE following the ruling, Prince's siblings say, "We are thrilled and relieved that Judge Eide granted our request to be the official heirs of our brother's estate. Our ultimate goal is to remain a united front and honor his legacy together as a family and for his fans globally."
The judge also ruled that Prince's assets wouldn't be distributed without a formal court order and left the door open for appeals from some would-be heirs, whose claims were rejected.
