Good news, Selenators! Selena Gomez has finally given her new music a release date. After teasing her fans that "something new is coming," a countdown has now appeared on the pop star's official website. From the countdown, it looks like the D-Day would be on May 18, and it means we don't have to wait much longer for Selena's new music.

However, fans are a little bit concerned with the release date as it would be exactly one week after Miley Cyrus releases her new single "Malibu" on May 11. The two former Disney stars would have a chart duel and it would be a huge news as they both released their latest project in 2015. This is not the first time for Selena to have a chart duel with fellow Disney alum. Her song "Good for You" was previously released within weeks of Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" in 2015.

Moreover, Selena's latest tweet has been flooded by Miley's fans who promoted "Malibu". A Twitter user wrote, "Malibu is coming." Another tweeted, "Malibu by Miley next week, everyone knows." Some even asked Selena to change the release date. "Better change the dates bc Malibu is releasing on May 11," another user wrote below the tweet.

Although both Selena and Miley make their musical comeback in the same month, it looks like their songs would have different musical style. Miley has seemed to turn her back to club music, while Selena is more into rhythmic pop as she is currently working with Jacob Kasher, Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels for the upcoming project.
