The 'Grass Ain't Greener' singer was served with the temporary restraining order papers from his model ex-girlfriend while he was celebrating his 28th birthday.

Chris Brown got temporary restraining order papers as a "birthday present" from his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran on Friday, May 5. He just finished hosting his birthday bash at Groove night club in Texas when the papers got delivered to him.
Michelle Trigger, Karrueche's attorney, said that she was glad they finally succeeded in delivering the papers. "This has been a frustrating endeavor trying to serve someone who was clearly evading service," she told E! News. "I feel better knowing she is safe and we can now focus on securing her a permanent restraining order, rather than playing cat and mouse with Mr. Brown."
Karrueche filed for restraining order last February after claiming that Chris threatened to shoot her. She also accused the "Forever" hitmaker of physically abusing her by punching her in the stomach and pushing her down the stairs. She was later granted a temporary restraining order, but demanded a permanent restraining order against the "Loyal" singer. The 28-year-old model added that Chris was as violent to her as he was to Rihanna back in 2009.
The two started dating in 2010 and briefly split when Chris rekindled his romance with RiRi. They got back together shortly after, but separated ways for good after it was revealed that Chris had a daughter named Royalty with Nia Guzman.
Their court hearing date is scheduled for May 23.
