The 'Cool for the Summer' songstress gets a giant face of a lion tattooed on her left hand and claims that it is not modeled off anyone else's tattoo.

Demi Lovato showed off her new tattoo on Instagram Story on April 25. After attending Time 100 Gala, the "Camp Rock" star visited famous tattoo artist Bang Bang to get a giant face of a lion inked on her left hand.

Shortly after she revealed her tattoo, people accused her of copying Justin Bieber's and Cara Delevingne's tattoos. The "Sorry" hitmaker has similar tattoo inked on his chest and the "Suicide Squad" star has it inked on her finger.

Demi took to Twitter to make it clear that her new lion tattoo wasn't an attempt to "match" anybody. She tweeted, "You can't get a tattoo these days without someone saying you've copied someone or you're 'matching' someone. That's not the case folks."

Fans also came to her defense by telling haters to stop criticizing every single thing she did. "Can y'all hype your idol without putting down others? Just because some of the fans are s****y people doesn't mean they are. Respect," one fan said. "It's literally just a lion tattoo lmao does someone have lions copyrighted?" another added.

Demi's way of dealing with backlash was actually not surprising as she previously shared how she stayed confident when people were being negative. "I guess I get my confidence just from within," she told E! News during her appearance at the Time 100 Gala. "I do self-affirmations every day, telling myself that I'm beautiful even when I don't feel like it, telling myself I'm a rockstar even when I don't feel like it - just things that everybody can do. It's self love."
