The best friend of the pop star denies all claims saying that Janet is after a $500 million divorce settlement from Wissam Al Mana.

Gil Duldulao, Janet Jackson's longtime pal and creative director, took to social media to defend his best friend, saying that there's no way that the singer is after a hefty divorce settlement. He posted a lengthy explanation on Instagram on April 15.
"I want to state what I have to say as a friend. Even if there was a possibility that my friend could make 500 mil off of having a child. It's not in her character to want and or accept 500 mil," he wrote. He emphasized that the "Together Again" hitmaker would never do something like that and people who think that she would should stay away.
Gil also told people to "check [their] facts," correcting that Janet had been married for four years instead of five. The day before, he re-posted a photo of Janet with her son, Eissa. He captioned the photo, "While you're at Coachella, I'm adoring my bestie and my beautiful nephew Eissa."
His posts left a strong impression as many of his followers praised his loyalty to Janet and thanked him for supporting her. The two have been friends since Gil joined the singer's "The Velvet Rope Tour" in 1998. "Thank you, Gil! Can't stand the hate rhetoric around this whole story. Glad you spoke out. Your words represent so much of what we, Janet fans. know and feel about our ICON," one commenter said. "Gil continue to defend Janet and the #JanFam will back you up," another one exclaimed.
Janet and her husband Wissam Al Mana split only three months after their baby boy, Eissa, was born. Reports said that the couple had a prenuptial agreement, sparking speculation about how much the "You" songstress would get. The reason for their divorce was believed to be Wissam's behavior during her pregnancy. "She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts," a source revealed.
