AceShowbiz - John Mayer apparently still has love for ex-girlfriend Katy Perry. The 39-year-old crooner reportedly sent 100 red roses to the "Chained to the Rhythm" hitmaker after she announced her split from Orlando Bloom earlier this year.
In the latest issue of OK! magazine, the publication alleges Mayer had a bouquet of flowers delivered to Perry. The bouquet was reportedly delivered along with a note that read, "I'm here for you." However, the 32-year-old songstress allegedly had her assistant donating the roses to a nursing home because she's "so over with Mayer." The magazine further asserts that Perry even sent him a photo of the elderly patients with his gift.
Mayer and Perry had an on-/off-relationship for three years, before they split in 2015. After Perry announced her breakup with Bloom earlier this year, the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker is reportedly reaching out to her again. He allegedly wants to mend his relationship with Perry as he's "desperate to convince her he's a changed man." But Perry has "hardened her heart against him" and will "get rid of anything he sends her."
In attempt to win her heart back, Mayer wrote a song titled "Still Feel Like Your Man". He admitted that the song was mainly inspired by Perry. "Who else would I be thinking about?" he said in an interview. "And by the way, it's a testament of fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it's like, give me this, people."
