Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are reportedly on the verge of divorce. According to a new report from In Touch magazine, the famous host's marriage to the 44-year-old actress are "over." The mag states the "time has run out."
"They're splitting up their assets before making an announcement," a source tells the magazine. "They've been trying to keep it together. They've even had individual and couples counseling. But it seems that time has run out. For Portia, anyway."
Apparently providing the proof, the publication points to the couple putting one of their mansions on the market, claiming that it's part of their "split settlement." Citing the source, the mag says, "Not only will they not be growing old in what was once their dream home, but they won't be growing old together, period."
The "Arrested Development" alum is said to feel "smothered" yet "jealous" over "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" host's "friendships with sexy movie stars" like Kristen Bell. The source then adds, "Ellen's devastated, but she'll do whatever it takes to end things as scandal-free as possible, and that means keeping Portia happy. In this case, money talks, and Ellen has a lot of it."
Reps for the couple have neither denied nor confirmed the split report.
