Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello may have never dated, but the two have just reignited those romance rumors with a dreamy cover of Ed Sheeran's "Kiss" off his debut album "+". Mendes shared on Instagram on Monday, March 27 a throwback video of himself covering the song with the Fifth Harmony alum.
"Found this gem deep in the iPhone videos," so Mendes captioned it, adding, "lol i love the 'killed that' face we both make at the end @camila_cabello." The black-and-white clip found Cabello sitting close to the Canadian heartthrob as he strummed his acoustic guitar. Donning casual outfits, the two had intense chemistry as they effortlessly nailed the hook of the romantic song.
Mendes and Cabello previously teamed up for catchy tune "I Know What You Did Last Summer", which was released in November 2015. During the recording process, the pair exchanged some flirty tweets that had fans curious if they were an item. Mendes quickly denied the rumors as he said that Cabello and him were just close friends.
"She is one of those people who is just very easy to connect with and still, to this day, is one of my greatest friends," he told PEOPLE, before praising the 20-year-old songstress. "She's a f**king great writer," he added. "Even if we just wrote for other people, I would be happy to do that because she’s such a thrill to write with and work with."
A day before posting the throwback "Kiss Me" video, Mendes shared a clip of himself singing Sheeran's "Divide (division sign)" track called "Perfect". Donning a black T-shirt, the "Mercy" hitmaker delivered an acoustic rendition of the song with the help of his guitar.
