The TV spot also offers more look at Kaya Scodelario's Carina Smyth, a brilliant astronomer who seemingly finds pirates unintelligent.

AceShowbiz - With the release date of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" approaching, the movie drops a new 60-second TV spot. The TV spot features some of the scenes previewed in the last trailer as well as offers more insight at the long feud between Javier Bardem's Salazar and Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow.

In the first part of the TV spot, Captain Salazar begrudgingly mentions that Jack has cursed him. "Pirates had infected the seas for generation, so I vowed to eliminate them all. Jack Sparrow cursed me. I will have my revenge," he says. The TV spot later shows a glimpse of young Jack who has been featured in the first full trailer.

Carina Smyth's (Kaya Scodelario) intelligence is also shown in the TV spot. When she sails on the sea along with Henry (Brenton Thwaites) and Jack, she says, "I'm a woman of science. I choose not to believe in ghosts." She seemingly doesn't worry about an army of phantoms which are after them. In the last part of the trailer, Carina derides pirates as unintelligent by asking, "Are all pirates this stupid?" Jack and his crew answer, "Yes."

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will see Jack Sparrow's attempts to escape Captain Salazar, who plans a revenge against him. Jack's only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth, a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry, a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy.

Also starring in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" are Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom who will reprise their roles as Captain Barbossa and Captain Will Turner respectively. The movie is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 26.
