Katy Perry reportedly still loves her ex-boyfriend John Mayer. However, it may need some time for the "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress to consider getting back together with the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" crooner as she's apparently afraid of getting hurt again.

"John and Katy have been talking a lot lately," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. "She's told him she still loves him, but she's still very hesitant to give him another chance. She's afraid of getting hurt by him again," the source adds. "John is a very persistent guy, though, and usually gets what he wants, so I wouldn't rule it out."

While Katy is still in doubt of dating John again, the "Love on the Weekend" hitmaker is more than ready to win her heart for the second time. Since it's revealed that Katy has split from Orlando Bloom, John "has been bombarding her with calls and flowers." According to the webloid, "He's written her poetry and songs, getting her back is all her cares about these days."

Reports of him writing songs about her turn out to be true. The 39-year-old singer has admitted that his latest single "Still Feel Like Your Man" was inspired by the 32-year-old beauty. "Who else would i be thinking about?" said John. "And by the way, it's a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it's like, give me this, people."
