TV

The Emerald Archer finds himself at the mercy of the series' villain and people assume that the upcoming episode will see the titular character coming back to Lian Yu.

AceShowbiz - The Wednesday, March 15 episode of "Arrow" season 5 ended on a huge cliffhanger where Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig) made her appearance in the present day Star City to take revenge on Green Arrow over things he did to her father years ago. As if it's not enough, the promo video of the upcoming episode 17 of the series sees things turning ugly for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as he is captured by Talia and Prometheus (Josh Segarra).

In the video, Oliver has made some attempts to confront the District Attorney, whose alter ego is Prometheus. His attempts are only making the villain more furious than he has been. Prometheus even threatens to kill Oliver's son. The 45-second video concludes with Prometheus pointing an arrow to Oliver, indicating plenty of chaos coming up.

According to the official synopsis of episode 17, titled "Kapiushion", "Prometheus goes to great lengths to break Oliver. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) becomes worried about Oliver's increasingly violent tendencies, which come to a head in a brutal confrontation."

Fans assume that the upcoming episode will allow them to be getting even deeper into Oliver's time with Anatoly in Russia as well as discovering the truth of Oliver's transformation from civilian to 'The Hood'.

Fans also speculate that Oliver may go back to Lian Yu in the next episode. Lian Yu is an island in the North China Sea where Oliver was found back in the pilot. Should he go back to the island, it seems like there will be a big disagreement with Anatoly, who gets him sent back there. A few flashbacks are also expected to be brought back up.

"Arrow" season 5 episode 17 will air on Wednesday, March 22 at 8 P.M. on The CW. Kevin Tancharoen will direct the episode, with Brian Ford Sullivan and Emilio Ortega Aldrich penning the script.
