Disney's live-action "Aladdin" has sent out a casting notice calling for the lead roles. The production team is looking for Middle Eastern actors in the 18 to 25 age range to audition for the new Aladdin and Jasmine.

A casting call tweeted out on Wednesday, March 8 asked for Middle Eastern actors and actresses who "must be able to sing," while "dance experience is a plus." Rehearsals will begin in April and filming will start from July 2017 to January 2018 in the U.K.

Scott Weinger and Linda Larkin voiced Aladdin and Jasmine in the 1992 animated feature, which follows a street-wise youth who tries to woo a princess and defeat an evil sorcerer after he stumbles upon a magic lamp and is granted three wishes by a genie trapped inside.

The live-action adaption of the classic animated feature will be directed by Guy Ritchie from a script penned by Big Fish writer John August. Dan Lin will serve as producer via his Lin Pictures banner, while Jonathan Eirich is executive producing.

Another Disney live-action flick "Beauty and the Beast" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 17 in standard, Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D, IMAX formats and Dolby Cinema.
