The country music singer finds out that his wife Lauren is pregnant while they're in the process of adopting a baby from Africa.

It's a double joy for Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren. A childhood sweetheart who tied the knot in 2012, the 26-year-old country music singer and his wife found out they're expecting their first child while they're in the process of adopting a baby from Africa.
The longtime couple has been trying to have a baby for quite a while. They recently decided to stop trying and adopt a baby instead. "When we began the adoption process, we said, 'Let's wait, let's give this adopted child his or her time with us and then we'll continue our family,' " Lauren told PEOPLE.
So when she felt sick during a week-long safari in Tanzania last December and her husband suggested she took a pregnancy test, she just scoffed. "I was 100 percent sure I was not pregnant," she remembered. "I was convinced it was food poisoning."
Despite her hesitance, she decided to check and the result was positive. "I'm jumping up and down," the mom-to-be said. Thomas gushed, "I was in complete and utter shock! No one is ever prepared for something like that. It is almost like we suddenly had twins." She chimed in, "We feel more than blessed."
The singer broke the news to his fans on Instagram, "We are so happy to announce that we are pregnant and we are in the process of adopting a child from Africa! Safe to say life is about to get crazy!"
His pregnant wife added on her own page, "OH BABY! actually...BABIES! Our hearts are exploding with happiness for y'all to meet our new baby who we are bringing home from Africa soon who is also going to have a little brother or sister because, SURPRISE! there's a sweet baby in my belly too #adopting&pregnant #cominginhot2017."
The couple also shared some throwback pictures from their trip to Africa last year.
