The 'Single Ladies' hitmaker's album 'Lemonade' beats albums by Rihanna, Anderson .Paak, KING and Gallant.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles was announced as the winner of Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Her album "Lemonade" beat other albums by Rihanna, Anderson .Paak, KING and Gallant.

During her acceptance speech, Beyonce thanked God, her husband Jay-Z, her daughter Blue Ivy and her fans. Pulling a card out to read, the "Single Ladies" hitmaker appeared a little breathless as she spoke about the inspiration for her album.

"Thank you to my beautiful daughter, my fans for bringing me so much happiness and support," Beyonce said, "We all experience pain and loss and my intention was to give those people a voice. I thank God for my family."

"It's important to show images to my children that show their inner beauty. I think it's vital that we learn from the past," she continued.

Maren Morris won Best Country Solo Performance for "My Church". Ryan Seacrest presented the Recording Academy's Music Educator Award to high school choral teacher Keith Hancock. Chance The Rapper, meanwhile, brought home his third Grammy after winning Best Rap Album.
