Rumors about Selena Gomez's Kygo-produced song turned out to be true. The Norwegian DJ apparently confirmed it on Thursday, February 9 via his Instagram by posting a preview of the song's accompanying video.
The 18-second clip sees Kygo strolling near a lake of mountain while Selena's husky voice can be heard over playful acoustic guitar picking. She sings, "I had a dream we were sipping whiskey/ Highest floor, the bowery/ And I was high enough." The clip appears to be the intro of the song, which is reportedly titled "It Ain't Me".
Last week, the "Hands to Myself" songstress posted on her Instagram story a short video, which showed a close-up look of her face while a song played in the background. Though she didn't specify a title, fans began suspecting the unknown track was a new song called "It Ain't Me" that was registered with ASCAP earlier this month.
Selena only added fuel to the speculation by changing the layout of her social media pages. She replaced her old profile photo with a glossy, blue-lit picture. Things got even more interesting as Selena's stylist, Christian Classen, posted on his Instagram page the same picture and tagged "Hands to Myself" music video director Alek Keshishian. Christian's move led Selenators to believe that Alex had worked on "It Ain't Me" music video.
Aside from musical career, Selena has been busy working on her new Netflix's series "13 Reasons Why", which she co-produces with her mother. Based on a young adult novel of the same name, the series follows the aftermath of a high school student's suicide. The new series will be released on March 31.
