AceShowbiz - Netflix introduces the "final Defender" in the new official trailer for "Marvel's Iron Fist". Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City to reclaim his birthright and family business, fifteen years after presumed dead in a plane crash with his parents.
He immediately shows off his martial arts skill when he gets unfriendly welcome at his own company. His return is also considered a threat by the Meachums, who have been running Rand Enterprises. As Danny realizes there are criminals within the company, he teams up with Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) to get rid of the bad guys.
"I've been training my whole life for this," Danny says, "This is my destiny." He shows his ability to summon the fiery power of the mystical Iron Fist in the action sequence as he declares, "It's time."
David Wenham stars as Harold Meachum, a ruthless corporate leader who was partners with Danny's parents at the time of their deaths. Jessica Stroup portrays Joy Meachum and Tom Pelphrey is cast as Joy's brother Ward Meachum. Carrie-Anne Moss reprises her "Marvel's Jessica Jones" role as Jeri Hogarth.
The new series will premiere March 17, 2017 on Netflix.
