AMC has released a brand new promo and featurette for "The Walking Dead" midseason premiere. Though it's very short, the 15-second promo includes some new footage from the second half of the season, teasing Rick and friends who are ready to stand up against Negan.

"It's not about us anymore," Rick says to someone unseen. "It's about our future." At the end of the video, he and Michonne smile. In another scene, Eugene shows his trick perhaps to impress some girls, while Carol picks up the gun.

The featurette further previews the beginning of the resistance against Negan as Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick, says, "There is this moment of optimism... And we're together again." Rick will meet with other leaders and ask them to fight together. "We came to the Kingdom to ask you to join us, in fighting the saviors. Fighting for freedom, for all of us," he says to Ezekiel.

Despite their will to rise and fight, Scott M. Gimple says that "there are some very practical obstacles in front of them." Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd adds, "They still don't have the weapons. They don't have the manpower. But they've got the will."

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, sums up what to expect from the rest of season 7, "It's only gonna get more crazy."

"The Walking Dead" returns with new episodes starting Sunday, February 12 at 9/8c on AMC.
