AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has gone public with her relationship with The Weeknd. During a dinner date at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Tuesday, January 10, the new couple was photographed making out.
In some photos obtained by TMZ, Selena was seen hugging The Weeknd from behind as they walked out of the restaurant. The "Hands to Myself" hitmaker first kissed her new beau on the cheek before they shared a passionate kiss.
Selena was all smiles during the outing. The "Good for You" hitmaker donned a black long coat over a black top, blue pants and black boots. The "Starboy" crooner, meanwhile, sported a hat, a denim jacket, a black hoodie, pants and sneakers.
"Selena [Gomez] wanted to be seen with the The Weeknd because she is OK with the world knowing that she and Abel [Tesfaye] (The Weeknd's legal name) are dating," an insider tells HollywoodLife.com, "That is why she agreed to go out to dinner with him in public. She is happy and doesn't mind sharing that with the world. Abel makes her feel secure and Selena has nothing to hide."
Another source adds, "Selena gets passionate about things real fast and that is exactly what she is doing with The Weeknd. She finds him charming and is enamored by the person he is and the way he presents himself to her."
After PDA photos of Selena and The Weeknd surfaced online on Wednesday afternoon, his ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid unfollowed the "Same Old Love" songstress on Instagram. Incidentally, both Selena and Bella are part of Taylor Swifts famous girl squad. The Victoria's Secret Angel, however, still follows The Weeknd.
