Melissa Benoist was spotted filming scenes with the 'Once Upon a Time' actor, who will play the Superman villain, on the set in Vancouver on Thursday.

Melissa Benoist has been back filming "Supergirl" after the holiday break. The actress slipped into her character's iconic blue-and-red costume when spotted on the set in Vancouver DC on Thursday, January 5.
In some snaps obtained by Canadagraphs and Just Jared, Benoist, who filed for divorce from her husband Blake Jenner last week, looked happy when meeting her on-screen nemesis, Peter Gadiot. The "Once Upon a Time" actor will guest star as Mr. Mxyzptlk in an upcoming episode of the show's season 2.

In the comic books, Mr. Mxyzptlk is a "impish supervillain" from the fifth dimension who often battles Superman. He is usually presented as a trickster, in that he enjoys tormenting Superman. In most of his appearances, he could only be sent away by being tricked into saying or writing his name backwards.

Gadiot's Mr. Mxyzptlk, however, doesn't look like the impish comic book version. He donned a blue suit and matching pants.
It was previously reported that Mr. Mxyzptlk would appear in two episodes of season 2. "Supergirl" returns with "Supergirl Lives", directed by Kevin Smith, on Monday, January 23 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
