AceShowbiz - "Universal Soldier" stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren join forces for a new action movie. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, the duo is set to headline an action thriller from Dawn's Light Media called "Black Water".

Jean-Claude and Dolph will star as onscreen allies for the first time in the upcoming movie. They previously appeared together in the "Universal Soldier" movie series, but they were never on the same side. They were also paired as foes in 2002's "The Expendables 2".

No director has been announced for "Black Water". The script is provided by Chad Law. It centers on a deep cover operative (Jean-Claude) who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine. Details about Dolph's character are still kept under wraps, though.

The movie will arrive in U.S. theaters sometime next year. It's produced by Richard Switzer of Dawn's Light alongside Tyler Konney. Serving as executive producers are Alexander Ferguson and Jason Cherubini. Dawn's Light is financing the project, with Taylor & Dodge handling the worldwide distribution.
