Tara Reid lost one of the most important people in her life Friday, December 30. That day, the "American Pie" alum took to Instagram to share "terrible news" that her father Thomas Reid had passed away.
Alongside a picture of her hugging her dad as they both smiled at the camera, Tara wrote a sweet and touching tribute to him. "Today, I've received terrible news that my father, Thomas Reid, has passed away," she began before praising his dad.
"He was a man full of life, love, wisdom, and strength. He was not only fun and in good spirits, but he was also one of the best story tellers I've ever heard. My dad was so supportive, kind, strong, and my hero. He was my heart, my soul, and my entire world," she continued. "I love you and will miss you so much daddy!"
She concluded her post with the hashtag #RIPDADDYREID alongside a tearful emoji.
Tara is currently in Hong Kong and plans to celebrate the New Year there. Luckily, she got to spend some time with her dad on Christmas. Last week, she revealed via Instagram that she went to her parents' home for the holiday. "At home at my parents for christmas and I just saw my doggie again. I love my dog!" she captions a picture of her holding her dog.
