Scott Buck, who is the showrunner on Netflix's 'Iron Fist', is set to lead another Marvel series, 'The Inhumans', at ABC.

AceShowbiz - Former "Dexter" showrunner Scott Buck is tapped to lead another superhero series, "Marvel's Inhumans". According to The Hollywood Reporter, Buck will oversee the adaptation of the classic comic book series about Black Bolt and the Royal Family.

Buck also serves as showrunner for upcoming series "Marvel's Iron Fist", which is scheduled to be released on March 17, 2017 on Netflix. "Iron Fist" marks Buck's first gig since "Dexter" ended in 2013. Buck has also worked on HBO's "Six Feet Under", "Rome" and "Coach".

Details of "Inhumans" series are still kept under wraps. The straight-to-the-series order came with the understanding that this wasn't a spin-off of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." nor was it going to replace the planned feature film.

"Inhumans" will be the third Marvel series on ABC, following "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and the canceled "Marvel's Agent Carter". The first two episodes will play in IMAX theaters for two weeks starting Labor Day weekend in 2017 before the series will make its debut on ABC.
