How the results of the 2016 U.S. presidential election will affect TV programs? One of the networks that has just made an adjustment to its schedule following Donald Trump's unexpected victory is NBC. The network once again delays a "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" episode inspired by the president-elect.

The postponement actually happened before the November 8 election, when Peacock decided to preempt its Wednesday lineup last week due to Game 7 of the World Series on FOX, pushing several original episodes to subsequent weeks. A new episode of the police procedural series will now air on November 9.

The Trump-inspired episode titled "Unstoppable" was set to air on November 16, but NBC has now listed a new episode of "Blindspot" and a two-hour "Chicago P.D." for next week, with "SVU" out of the schedule.

There are no more original "SVU" episodes scheduled through January 4. In fact, it remains to be seen if the controversial episode will never see the light of day in the wake of Trump's win. But sources tell Deadline that NBC still plans to air it.

"Unstoppable" was filmed months ago and was originally slated as the second episode of season 18. The episode was pushed back from October 12 to October 26 in light of sexual harassment and assault allegations against Trump by multiple women. It was then postponed again until after the election to avoid painting Trump in a bad light.

The episode stars Gary Cole as a wealthy and boorish man running for the White House whose campaign is derailed when several women go public with damaging accusations.

Another show, "South Park" on Comedy Central, has reworked its election-themed episode in the wake of Trump's victory. Originally titled "The Very First Gentleman", it has been renamed "Oh, Jeez". Based on a previously released teaser, it appears that the show predicted Hillary Clinton's win. But a new promo hints at a different outcome.
